Certified Tutor

I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies. I am one semester away from finishing my Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois Springfield. I have been teaching high school for five years and LOVE my job and working with students! I have taught AP World History, AP Economics, AP Psychology, United States History, and AP Government and Politics. The best part of my job is working with students individually to help them achieve their academic and personal goals. I have extensive experience tutoring students- both in the discipline of social studies, as well as in math and writing. My philosophy in working with students is to meet them where they're at and use a variety of techniques and strategies to help them grow and accomplish their goals. I firmly believe that students are capable of accomplishing more than they ever thought possible- and I LOVE unlocking that potential in each student that I work with. I am passionate about helping people grow and develop into the best possible version of themselves! It is truly an honor to work with students, and I feel privileged to serve in the role of a teacher and tutor.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy listening to podcasts, spending time outdoors, cooking, going to great restaurants and reading good books! Recently, I have also taken up gardening and have both an indoor and outdoor herb garden.
