I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Bradley

Certified Tutor

I live and work in Cincinnati, Ohio and am a college graduate from the University of Cincinnati. I earned my dual-track bachelor of science in neuroscience (Neurobiology and Philosophy of Mind) in 2016 and my master's degree in business administration the following year.

I am currently in a gap year applying to medical school, with much of my time now split between the UC Athletic Training Room and local high schools. At UC, I primarily assist my mentor Dr. Clark with all things brain and concussion from neurological exams to brain and vision rehabilitation to research on anything similar. Here, I have had an excellent opportunity to build upon my didactic university education with living examples as I aid patients go through the process of mental discovery, recovery, and growth. Outside UC, I enjoy teaching brain health and safety (as well as giving neuroanatomy demonstrations with real brains!) to local high school students as a member of the TriHealth Crosstown Concussion Crew.

My experiences and training make me especially suited to tutor because I have a proven approach to teaching backed by a deep understanding of the human mind. The wisdom from my clinical experiences spills over into my teaching by helping me to read any classroom or student, actively gauge the effectiveness of my current teaching style and our team's problem-solving abilities, and adapt on the fly. I am confident that I can work with an individual of any age trying to learn any new skill, as I have already taught people young, middle-aged, and old skills ranging from walking and talking again to developing the study endurance necessary for an 8-hour medical school entrance exam. I have a variety of experiences to call upon and have resources to reach out to enabling me to help ensure no child is left behind, even with brain deficiencies.
