Certified Tutor

I am a current student at Whitman College (graduating in spring of 2020). I am working towards by bachelor's degree in Mathematics as well as Economics. I work in the local schools as a math and science classroom tutor. I also work for the Whitman Academic Resource Center as a peer tutor for my classmates who need additional assistance in Calculus I, Calculus II, Calculus III, Micro and Macroeconomics, Statistics, and Computer Science. While I thoroughly enjoy all the tutoring I do, I am especially passionate about all different levels of math. I firmly believe the logical reasoning and problem-solving skills gained from mathematics are invaluable to each student's future. I am an aspiring math teacher, principal, or education policy researcher. Last summer, I participated in the Budapest Semester in Mathematics Education program where I learned more about my passion for teaching, but also international travel. When I'm not in class or tutoring, I enjoy cooking, baking, and golfing!
