I have a Bachelor's in Nutritional Biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University. I have a background in research on polyphenols and prostate cancer under the CWRU Department of Urology, and am a co-author of a publication on protein expression and prostate cancer.
I have experience working one on one with students in subjects ranging from English, Biology, Chemistry, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, to the SAT's. I have found that teaching students is a gratifying experience that allows me to witness students progress academically and as individuals. I believe that it is my job as a tutor to guide students to success through efficient test taking strategies, proper study habits, and clear understanding of concepts and ideas of the study material. With the use of empathy and active communication skills, I make sure to always maintain a good level of energy and sense of understanding with the student.
