Certified Tutor

I graduated from the University of Richmond with a BA in history and education and have been passionate about continuing to work with students. My interests, coursework, and research focuses on American history, modern European history, and Western Civilization II.
During the summer of 2013, I interned at a museum in Queensland, Australia which was preparing for an exhibition to commemorate the outbreak of World War I. I began to research the museum???s German A7V tank, the Mephisto, which is the last remaining German tank from World War I. This research project particularly sparked my curiosity in museum studies and practices since the objective of the project was to ???tell the story of the tank??? for future museum visitors. The project combined my interests in modern history and the World Wars. Artifacts provide great learning tools for students and researchers.
As a tutor with Varsity Tutors, I aim to provide each student with the developmental support to succeed in the classroom and imbue them each with the love of history. Each tutoring session should be an encouragement for the student to gain confidence in their abilities in the classroom and with the content that they are mastering.
I look forward to assisting these students and I my hope is that they will enjoy learning the material!
