Certified Tutor
As an educator, I strive to ensure that all of my students gain knowledge from my lessons. However, that is not always the outcome. Re-teaching and re-evaluating are essential skills an educator must possess. I strive to meet the needs of all students. As your child's tutor I will work to get to know your child and establish a connection with your children in order to meet success.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In typical first session with a student, I would get to know the student. I would work the student to find strengths and areas of growth as well as areas of interest and dislike. This way, I will be able to better service the student.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I can help a student become an independent learner by helping them to feel successful in a task.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
I would help a student stay motivated by incorporating his/her interests within the lesson.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
I would re-evaluate the skill and assess where the student is having difficulty. I would then re-teach the skill in a different way, in order to further assist the student, using more manipulatives or other motivators.
