Never stop seeking knowledge. I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico eating green chile, speaking Spanish, and exploring nature. I was lucky enough to witness the impact innovative teachers and mentors can have from a young age. Since undergrad I have tutored in many subjects: math, SAT prep, Spanish, and biology. Spanish is my love; I studied it as an undergraduate and believe that the key to learning anything is understanding how the subject matter fits into the larger picture of your life. If you understand WHY you need to learn something, you have an incentive to learn it. I've tutored middle school, high school, and college freshmen and sophomores and occasionally get a phone call from one of my younger sisters asking for help editing an essay or solving a math problem.
