From educating elementary children in urban spaces, to taking on the undeniably-fulfilling role as a Literacy Coach and administrator, I have had the pleasure of inspiring students and mentoring teachers. I have both diversified and dedicated my life to my portfolio of empirical knowledge. There is a certain catharsis achieved from molding the malleable minds of the next generation of lawyers, of doctors, of writers. To have an integral part in the shaping and forming of our collective future is the fundamental essence of our craft, and by surrounding myself in a multitude of environments, I have learned innumerable ways of dealing with studentsbased on their individual, subjective needs. The psychology of every child is different, each student a reflection of their upbringing and temperament. In my interaction with these young, works in progress, it has always been important to approach every student differently, and not treat every child with the same methods of learning. Some children work better visuallysome, audibly. It is my responsibility, as an educator, to decipher the means to which a child learns--and learns best. My mission is to put the FUN back into learning!
