I am a second year Graduate student at the Rutgers University Business School, pursuing a Masters of Business Administration (MBA). Throughout my career, I have spent time tutoring students in the fields of Algebra, Calculus, and Statistics. I enjoy working with these topics as they are prevalent in "every-day" life; for example, as a manager I have used these concepts to effectively monitor staff and inventory. My experiences, combined with my current MBA curriculum, have greatly enhanced my ability to tutor students who may be struggling with these topics. As a middle school student, I found Mathematics difficult and overwhelming. However, an eight-grade algebra teacher fueled my passion for the subject by making it fun, interesting, and easy to understand. As a tutor, I feel that it is my obligation to transfer that passion to each of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, discovering new music, working out, and cooking.

I have tutored private clients as well as through Sylvan Learning Center. I have also taught in the children's ministry at my church and was an English Language tutor for an ESL student while at MSU. I am a mother of four and love to work with kids, helping them reach their fullest potential. With the COVID-19 global pandemic, I saw my fair share of highs and lows, ebbs and flows. Everything considered, my agency was able to weather the storm despite being a new agency.I worked in the corporate world with for-profit and non-profit organizations as a marketing manager and marketing director. I started working in the marketing field in 2008 by way of the media production world. I learned various skills from live video directing/editing/production, photography, graphic design, and audio engineering. I grew those skills through freelance work and pick up more skills along the way such as web design, social media advertising, and other traditional and non-traditional marketing practices.During my time in the corporate world, I was grateful to have the opportunity to rise to the operative level of management at the young age of 18, the executory level of management by the age of 22, and I was appointed as Acting CEO by a Board of Directors raising me to the administrative level of a corporation by the age of 25 years old. I am a licensed mechanical engineer (PE) in the State of Nebraska! I currently work on designing cellular tower structures and analyzing loading on these structures, but I've also designed consumer products goods in the office furniture and automotive industries.I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) in 2008 with my BSME (Go Big Red!) and MBA from the University of Iowa in 2012.I have taught Junior Achievement, been a Big Sister (as part of Big Brothers/Big Sisters), and was a college T.A. in chemistry for UNL. I have been a guest lecturer for UNL and UNO (Omaha) for the Complete Engineer seminars in 2020 and 2021.I am excited to help others learn about engineering, math and sciences, and love sharing my lessons learned throughout my career to help the next generation within their own STEM careers!
