Some of the best educational advice that I have ever received was when one of my teachers told me to "give it 100%, and believe in yourself. If you don't believe in yourself, who will?"

This quote has stuck with me since freshman year of high school. Now, as I am about to graduate, I realize how much this has impacted my life. I go through each day giving my 100%, because you only have one today, and tomorrow it will be gone. So I choose to live life as it comes, and believe in myself. If I believe in myself, and am proud of my work and decisions, than it doesn't really matter what other people think. I am the only person who will deal with the consequences of bad choices.

I think that everyone, no matter how hard of a day or year it is for them, should keep pushing forward. They should do this in school work and other life choices. If they give their life 100%, than it is impossible to not be proud of yourself. And if you are proud of yourself than so is everyone else around you. Some people can dream big things, but you actually must do the work, and give it your best to reach your goals. As the Fairy Godmother said in Roger and Hammerstein's "Cinderella," "It's true that everything starts with a wish, but it's what you do with a wish that counts."

I hope that writing this, it will influence others to take control of their own destiny and believe in themselves. After all, "if you don't believe in yourself, who will?"
