A Memorable College Experience by Shayla - November 2016 Scholarship Essay

College experience is going to have an effect for everyone. Some effects are going to be influential or meaningful. Being able to experience a college life is one of the things everyone should be grateful. Because it allows you to create your independence from everyone that supported you and gives you your first chance of being an adult. The one thing I am going to be thankful for is being able to meet new people and having a fresh start.
College is the best place to meet new people and create friendships with people that either has the same interest as you or someone who you never thought you would be friends with. Having an opportunity of creating friendships that could last forever is something that is truly incredible. You get to meet individuals who are in the same situation as you where you are becoming an independent person in a new setting.
Leaving your old life and taking the first step to your new one is something that college lets you pursue. Having a new start lets you become the person you always wanted to be since there is no one there that can hold you back or judge you based off your old self. A freedom like that should not be taken for granted or be overseen.
I am going to be grateful for being able to have a chance towards being my true self with new people. Having the opportunity to start off with a new blank page is genuinely amazing for everyone.
