True Passion by Savannah - July 2019 Scholarship Essay
It’s worthwhile.
Passion that is. To have an intense desire, a gripping fervor, a craze enough to devote one’s whole- life to their dedicated purpose. Whereas society’s fiery flame of dedication is often directed towards education. Education itself is pursued either as a career or used as a lift toward their future goals. Many students start from schools at a young age and continue their education to years on end, learning new skills and knowledge for their selves and their community. To take years of studying to pursue their dreams shows the dedication and amount of zeal a person has for their dream.
It’s due to these passionate individuals that provides future generations dreams of their own and the ability to advance the world to new ideas and places never thought of. The passion for education determines every single person’s future, including mine. My pursuit for education is seen in my daily life, going to school, taking higher-level classes, creating connections, learning new skills and planning for my dreams. As I continue to align myself with passion for my education, I will have the ability to be released to new opportunities, cultures, careers, and skills daily. These experiences will reshape my way of thinking and provide me with more goals and dreams to work toward. To have passion for my life work will provide me comfort in the life question I always ask: “What’s the purpose of life?” To give a definite answer would truly be foolish but to say you did something that helped others or to have fulfilled accomplishments would envelop my heart with a warm blanket of easement that whatever I had passion for, gave me a life purpose.
To be able to obtain my life goals would to be passionate about my educational pathway toward these goals. The significance of this pathway would be its many alluring shortcuts and surprise roads that provide either a step farther from my dream, or hindrances that provide opposite directions. To be truly passionate about a dream, is when you take the direct path and head straight toward the finish line regardless of road blocks. Education necessitates to be strict on studies and is essential for my potential careers and opportunities. Which all requires passion and desire to accomplish. To stay on the correct path and to ignore enticing shortcuts that the majorities often take is to be truly passionate. As Robert Frost said in The Road Not Taken: “I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
