Studying effectively by Sara - January 2014 Scholarship Essay
Being able to study effectively is a very important skill for someone to have during school, whether it be middle school, high school, or college. Each person is different, and so is how each person studies to the best of his of her ability. For me, the most effective methods of studying are repetition, quizzing another classmate, or creating different games to help me better learn the material I need for my classes.
Repetition can help me to drill into my mind important facts that will likely be on any test, exam, or quiz that I'll have to take. Also, repetition can help to increase the speed at which I am able to recall important facts the teacher mentioned.
Quizzing a classmate is a doubly good study method, because not only am I helping a classmate review the material, but with this method, I'm also able to take the ring to review the material myself.
Creating different games can help me to not only review the material, but it also helps to keep my mind interested and engaged in fun ways to review.
To summarize, I am able to use multiple study methods, which prove to be effective, with my most effective methods being repetition, quizzing others, and creating fun games.
