The part of my college experience that I will be most thankful for is meeting new people. College is a key time in a young adults life where they can discover themselves and begin to shape their futures. Building connections and friendships that will last a lifetime is something I look forward to. Some might argue that college is strictly for learning and earning different degrees but the people you meet shape your life, affect you in many ways, and help you create fond college memories.
You might think that the person you run into while walking across campus may seem irrelevant, but they may end up shaping your life. Maybe it could be introducing you to a new social circle, new clubs, or even different classes. In most cases, a freshman's major can change up to three times, and this is mostly due to the different influences around them. The different people you meet can have a domino effect on your educational life and can eventually lead to you finding your true passion. Another thing about the different people you meet is how they affect your life in other different ways. Not only is it about school, but the activities you include yourself in with them. Joining clubs and activities outside of school can expand your knowledge and interest in many different things. This can led to a student changing and becoming a better person as they maneuver through the college life. In the end, the memories you take away from college are immortal. They will be carried with you as the young and fun enjoyable items spent with great people. When the real world come and its time to settle down and become a true adult, remembering the young worry-free days will always feel great. After using a college degree to get a good full time job, there will be times spent reminiscing the days when you wrote term papers and took chapter tests. Although the classes were the main component of college, the more memorable times will be the ones spent after class and during lunch breaks. Attending a good university of college is essential to a successful and secure future, but enjoying yourself along the journey is something many people look forward to in this confusing and life altering time.
