The Ultimate Strategy by Rubi - December 2017 Scholarship Essay
Being organized and planning accordingly are the key to achieving goals that one sets in life. School projects can be stressful for students who are not prepared and don't have a plan. Especially when the project requires some sort of presentation. My ultimate strategy for success on a school project is to thoroughly research the subject, work on it regularly, and organize my ideas.
Research is an essential part that leads to a successful project. Every school project has a subject at it's core, something that needs to be addressed and in order to do that, it must be researched beforehand. Research can provide a better understanding on a subject and inform the person about things that they might not have previous knowledge of. In my experience with school projects over the years I found that the more research I do the better off I am in terms of having a successful project. It is the basis of writing an essay or creating a presentation because you have all the knowledge you need on the subject. It results in me being better prepared to complete the project because I know what I am talking about or writing about and I seem like I have a good understanding about what I am saying which gives me credibility, something that helps the project resonate better with the audience.
Working on a project often is important. It is not smart to eave everything for the last minute as many people do, including myself. At this point I have learned the valuable lesson of not procrastinating when doing school projects. Working on a project daily until it's due is the better alternative as it makes it easier to complete it successfully. When I do this I am able to form my ideas better and present them to the audience in a way that does not seem hurried, like I am bombarding them with information. Teachers can pick up on times when students just do projects in a hurry because the ideas don't flow, they seem rushed, incoherent even. Passing oneself allows for a more successful project.
Organizing the ideas can make or break a project. Organization in an essay or a presentation is a huge part of a successful project because the audience will get confused and not know what you are talking about if you don't present it in a way that allows them to process everything easier. In the past I have written essays that did not have a good flow because I did not organize my ideas "neatly". The teacher was unable to even know what I was writing about because the ideas were spontaneous and spread out instead of following one another which created confusion. In any project organization beforehand helps to carry it out in a more effective and coherent manner.
School projects require many things on the part of the person doing them because it makes a difference between success and failure. Organization, research, and regular work is the best strategy for me to complete a school project. It is a method that has benefits all throughout the project. It provides ease of completing the project before during and after.
