Student Today, Psychologist Tomorrow:
My Blueprint of How I Will Improve the World by Ronald Nova
In 10 years I will have finished college with a master’s degree in psychology, counseling other people and helping them understand how to improve. I strongly consider working with teenagers because I have struggled with severe depression, anxiety, ADD, and other problems during my own teenage years. Receiving awards for my actions has motivated me even more to help others communicate and succeed in school and their own personal goals.
When I envision my life in 10 years, I see myself with a stable career practicing psychology, the thing I love the most. I will have a house by the lake where I can wake up every morning and feel the cool breeze greet my face. I see myself being able to take the metro bus to work and back to my loving family. I will provide them with everything I have earned and give them a proper lifestyle.
Growing up with a single mother from Mexico has been challenging, but has also given me certain advantages. My bilingual skills have enabled me to help others communicate with Spanish and English. Getting to live both cultures opened a window of opportunity for me to help others in a unique way. I have always been interested in what others think and how people operate, which has lead me to believe I am meant to pursuit my career in psychology.
I am currently taking AP Psychology, Sociology, and Child Psychology to help me further my psychology studies. My education will help me, with enough dedication and persistence, achieve these goals by giving me the proper education and skills to be successful and have a greater understanding of how others work. I believe I will never stop learning, and can consistently become better every day.
