Education satisfaction by Remi - November 2015 Scholarship Essay
The part of my education that I am most thankful for is my dedication, the ability to study hard and to stay focused. Education requires a person to be exceptionally dedicated. Mind over matter is more important than anything. I kept moving along even though I struggled.
Growing up as a young child, I struggled multiple times. School wasn't easy for me especially algebra. Algebra was my worst subject, I couldn't grasp what I was being taught by my teacher no matter how hard I tried. I soon realized that I needed to be more dedicated in order to learn. This solution out of many others was what helped me to overcome my obstacles.
Furthermore, as time moved on, I started focusing more in class, and I didn't allow my mind to drift anymore. Algebra was finally starting to become easier for me. It became natural after a while when I started working the problems out. Soon A's and B's was what I made on tests in addition to studying harder. Many nights I'd return home late after soccer practice and still would have to put time in for studying. In my perspective, incorporating dedication, studying harder and staying focused are sure ways to overcome the obstacles that can arise while in school and that is why I am thankful for those parts of my education.
