Why I️ am a Morning Person by Remi - January 2019 Scholarship Essay

As an education major and preschool teacher, by the end of the day I’m just exhausted! I am 100% a morning person.

Ever since I was little, I was always the kid up before the sun rose. As a young child, I remember my parents buying me a little alarm clock, and taping the minutes with dark tape, so I could only see what hour the clock showed. Obviously, they were tired of me waking them up in early hours of the morning. So, I had to wait until my alarm clock showed at least a 6 or a 7, before waking my entire household.

I am most productive right after I get out of bed, and of course have some coffee, too. I usually get all of my homework for my classes done before I get to work, and I find myself having an easier time focusing on my homework, before I have to deal with the stress of everyday. Focusing on my homework and college is extremely important to me, and I want to make sure I do my absolute best on it, What better way to achieve that goal, then to work on it in the mornings, when my brain is ready for anything?
