Just imagine for a minute that education is food. It is the nourishment needed for our minds, bodies and souls. It is a holistic approach of providing people of all races, religions, shapes, sizes and ages the knowledge necessary to maintain the trifecta. Through education, we gain new information, develop skill sets, and establish and maintain values and beliefs. These are all important contributions to this trifecta. Education can support and reinforce the knowledge we already have or can provide us with new information. .

Just like every individual is unique so is their educational needs. Education can provide one person with simple survival skills necessary to live. Whereas, education can provide another person with a vast array of knowledge necessary to advance in the work environment. Not one person in this world can survive without some form of education. It can be disseminated in the most primitive and simplest of venues or can be disseminated in a more sophisticated setting like a university. It is something that should be valued just like food, clothing and shelter. It is a fundamental need that we cannot take for granted and we should feel privileged to have every day of our lives.
