Coulda, Wouldla, Shoulda by Nicole - April 2016 Scholarship Essay

Regret is like a fine tooth cob, if you use it you’re sure to find some unexpected and unwanted things. Regretting the past creates a roadblock for the future, in burns bridges before they are made, and it ends your hope of ever improving. So, live in the present. Enjoy the horrible, clicky girls because currently, they don’t determine your salary and fate in the palms of their perfectly manicured hands. Live in the present, the gifts you overlook. The smile across the room, the unexpected high five. Enjoy the good grades because the bad are sure to come at some time or another.
Meditate, it allows you to focus on breathing and sneak in some nap time, because never before will you have wished so much to be in kindergarten again. Live in positivity, rainy days are just a way to cleanse the earth, and breakups are a way for you to cleanse the people in your life. Breathe every single day because if you forget any second chances you were hoping for will disappear.
Sing even if it breaks mirrors and causes you to wince, because it shows spirit and power. Use war chants to profess your power! Stomp your feet, and crab walk to class. Everyone else is going to blend into the blob of sheeple and you will stand out as a proud, wacky wolf.
So cry, sing, stomp, breathe, and over all just be yourself because everyone else is not only taken, but awful. Trust me, I’m one of them.
