“You have been accepted.” These four words are words many high school seniors anxiously await to hear or read from desired colleges. Attending college opens numerous doors of experience such as maturity, responsibility, career choices, and extracurricular activities. While all of these are great college opportunities, I desire a college experience that will change and shape me as well as open my eyes to the world. Therefore, the college experience I will be most thankful for is preparing for a future in which I can go out into the world and make a difference.
It is my aspiration experiencing college life will allow me to invest in myself and discover passions and goals in life. While I have an interest and understanding of math and science, I am currently undecided on a career path. I have thought about engineering or the medical field. Many times, we just go through the motions of life day in and day out never stirring up the passion that lives inside of us all. I desire to find the one thing that drives my passion and inspires me to make a difference in life and then pursue that job or career. I hope the college experience will grant opportunities to build deeper knowledge and follow my curiosity to a career path.
Additionally, building relationships in college will assist me in preparation for a future. People are naturally social creatures and crave positive interactions. These connections and interactions make work and life more enjoyable as well as lead to success. Every person has value and has something to offer and attending college will allow me to build relationships from a diverse population. These relationships and leaning opportunities will be valuable in preparation for a successful future.
College life offers many invaluable experiences that will change and shape a person as an individual. I am seeking a college experience that will prepare me for a future which will allow me to make a difference in the world today. A college experience of finding passion for a career while promoting curiosity and knowledge along with building relationships with others is my aspiration.
