It is your first year in high school. You don’t know what to expect. You’re so close to the finish line, yet so far away. Freshman year can be extremely difficult because you’re branches are growing and becoming more complex. You’re becoming an adult and preparing for the real world. You have enormous amounts of lessons to learn, books to read, essays to write, and math problems to solve. Where do you begin? How do approach your next obstacle?
Growing up, I’ve always been told to be active in my school and community. Everyone told me that the more involved I was, the higher my chances were of getting accepted to prestigious universities. Although very true, handling a busy schedule and maintaining excellent grades is acutely exhausting. So how do you do it?
You must stay focused. Keep your eye on the prize because you’re almost there. Make sure you are always keeping a balanced and healthy agenda. Despite what may be happening around you, keep your eye on the prize. Don’t let anyone’s opinion affect your mentality and priorities. However, you have to be aware of your personal limits. You can’t stress yourself out, because no matter what, you come first. Your well-being is very important to enjoy your successful time ahead. Your future is all in your hands, so what are you going to do?
