On January 1st of every year, people around the world says a New Year's Resolution to kick off the new year in the right direction. New Year's Resolutions are designed to give people a desire to set a goal for themselves to accomplish for the upcoming year. Every New Year Resolution is different but, some of the common New Year's Resolutions involves losing weight, getting a job, saving money, and different things in that nature. Each New Year's resolutions are also designed for different people but, what about students ? What New Year's Resolution can help you become a better student for 2016? One New Year's Resolution that will help you become a better student for the upcoming year is to study at least an hour a day on each subject.
In order to become a better student for the upcoming year the one thing that can help you is changing how you study. Your study skills play a very important role in your success academically. How you study can set you up for a better GPA, SAT scores, etc. Most students do not study effectively. If they do study, it's for a short period of time or they cram the night before a big test. That might help or it might not but, most likely it does not help the students at all. It back fires on them. What that is doing is allowing your brain to retain the information just for the test and after that, the information is gone. That is not a good way to study because you will not reach your highest potential in that class. You will just barely get by.
Studying for an hour for each subject everyday is, by far, the best way to study. The reason why it is the best way to study is because it allows you to focus on each subject individually and it gives you an opportunity to review the subjects that you struggle with the most. It will also help you to retain the information for longer periods time. Not only will you pass the test that you are studying for but, you will also have that information stored for a future class. You can reach your highest potential and beyond that if you study effectively.
New Year's Resolutions are great because it sets you on the right track for a great year. Studying for at least an hour for each subject everyday is a great New Year's resolution for students if they have the desire to become better students in 2016.
