In twenty-five years by Melanie - September 2018 Scholarship Essay

In twenty-five years I would be fourth-one years old. I imagine myself working at a PR firm and learning from my mistakes and peers. Throughout the years I would have learned copious amount of information and techniques to succeed in the PR industry.
I plan to earn a Bachelor degree in Public Relations and take as many internships as possible to be able to understand and to do the best I can in this industry. This industry will be tough and have a lot of ups and downs but I am determined to succeed in it. The professors I would have had and the internships I would have taken will help me in twenty-five years.
All the things I will learn at the university I end up going to and the jobs I get after I’ve gotten my Bachelor degree I will make sure to not forget the important things I learned during that time. The way I would be able to keep on learning and getting better at PR is by never forgetting my past mistakes and always asking for help. Just by picking up a book or two about PR and getting tips can help me so much to learn things i probably wouldn’t know about the industry. To be able to keep on learning I can’t be afraid of failure. I would have to keep on going even at my weakest moments.
I would be as motivated as I can in twenty-five years so I can thrive in the PR industry. I want to be able to tell my past self “see you said you could do it and you did because you never gave up, you just kept on going”.
