Throughout numerous encounters of adversity, I realized that “what matters most” is not what you have or want, but what you give out. This outlook on life has opened my mind to more important things in life such as care and well-being. For this, is why I want to pursue a degree in Business, where I can later on use my knowledge to an advantage and help low income families and communities around Texas, and even Mexico to prosper. I plan on creating a non-profit organization which will help develop more job opportunities for those who are in need.
My ultimate goal consist of traveling and creating local businesses for families who live in poverty where they can essentially work and have some way of providing for their families. In the near future, I hope to save up as much money as I possibly can throughout the year, then travel into diverse countries and help communities prosper through my knowledge in business management.
I believe this innovative idea would genuinely help others to grow in a stable matter rather than just temporarily providing them with aid. I want to make a social and economic difference one business at a time. And although this community wide organization would take time, I have no doubt in my mind that I will soon give others the opportunity to achieve far more than they were given.
In general, I would like to fulfill my aspirations by pursuing a degree in Social Entrepreneurship to its ultimate standing. Helping out communities with little to no income is vital to me because of my own personal upbringing in a single parent household. With the help and empowerment that a 10,000 grant could potentially offer me, I believe the possibilities of achieving a degree and my future goals are very much present.
