However, college is very different than high school with many important new skills that students must acquire to be successful. However, the most important skill of all is the ability to adapt to change.

Change is necessary as classes are very different than high school. They are more difficult and require more dedication and studying than a high school. If a student is unable to adapt to this change of pace, they will fall behind.

Another reason the ability to adapt to change is because college is a time for new experiences. When a student is starting college, they are joining a new community they have never been apart of before. They don't know most of the people there and they are learning how to be independent for the first time. If they are unable to adapt to this new life, they will be overwhelmed and unhappy.

In conclusion, the most important skill for a college student is their ability to adapt to changes in their lives. Only by embracing and adapting to their new way of life will they be successful and content during their college years.
