The day I became President by Lianny - May 2013 Scholarship Essay
Attending a huge highschool is not always easy. Everyone looks for a group to belong to but very few people are lucky enough to find that group. I can say I'm one of those lucky few.
Since the fourth grade I've been involved in chorus. It became more than just a class to me, it became my second home. Music no longer was just a form of entertainment, but it was a way of life.Senior year of high school came along and I ran for choir president. I wanted to devote myself more to the choir because I felt as though the choir gave me so much love and I wanted to give love back. I wanted to help the choir reach their full potential. I desired all choir members to feel as though choir was also a home for them.My hardwork and dedication paid off because one day in class it was announced that I had won the title of president for the choir of 160 members. I was overjoyed because I felt like it was my time to give back to a class that I have gained so much from. For these simple reasons, the day that I was announced president of my high school choir is my absolute, favorite memory in a classroom.
