Ever since I was younger I dreamt of being in the medical field, I looked up to my mother since she worked so hard day and night, saving people's lives. My mother is a very smart woman with endless years of experience which brought memories and challenges she would never forget. I wanted to experience that. As I got older my admiration turned into passion to change what was around me, my dream became more defined.
I want to go to medical school so I can specialize in infectious diseases. The idea of someone having to live with HIV/AIDs or even coldsores/ Herpes for the rest of their lives is demoralizing and can make you feel different from everyone around you. I want to change people's lives in that way I want to relieve people of their torture of being stuck with something they don't want, just the idea of taking away that burden from someone else's life makes me want to pursue the career field in medicine. I want to not only change people's lives but I want to cure the diseases in the field of infectious diseases.
This will not only change the game of infectious diseases but also would provide more knowledge of how we can handle the viruses that impact us the most. As I have matured I learned that your impact in the career field that you make also affects the people that you do the service for, I not only want to cure as many people as I can I also want to bring more light to the viruses that can't seemed to be tamed at the moment.
