If I had the opportunity to create and Extracurricular activity it would have to be a sports club. The reasoning behind this is because like myself I do enjoy playing sports but when it comes to going and trying out for a team, I tend to get nervous. Some people might not want to feel the embarrassment of going out for a team and not making it so I would like to make a club where everyone is welcome to play. I have always been someone who thinks in other people and from what I've seen with schools and the way they choose teams sometimes it isn't always fair. So, my club of sports would be a place where anyone can come and interact with each other as well as play the sport we love the most.
From my knowledge everyone either watches a sport or plays a sport. I also know that there can be people who don't feel confident in the field of playing or haven't had much experience, so they shy away from it. So, the sports club would be a way for everyone to help each other feel comfortable and build friendships outside from regular school. It only takes one person to make a difference in another person’s life and in the idea of the sports club it just seems so positive and just a way for each person to learn the idea of sportsmanship. Sports are America’s past time and I would like to share that with other people as well.
