My Plans for the Future by Kaija - June 2023 Scholarship Essay

10 years from now I will be 34 years old. Around that time I see myself with two Bachelor's degrees, one Masters, and maybe a Doctorate. I would have a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and a Masters in Anthropology. I am not sure what Doctorate would be in yet.
My education plays a big role in my 10 year plan. Without it I would probably be sitting around doing nothing. I love to learn and obtaining these degrees will allow me to continue doing that. With my education I will be able to travel, learn different languages and be challenged in my career.
10 years from now I would have traveled to at least five or six different countries. I would stay in those countries for at least five months. While there I would learn language, learn more about the culture and gain work experience. I would also have my own apartment located somewhere in Washington D.C. With a remote or hybrid position at a tech company or a company that works in international affairs. I expect to be successful with having my own place, a good career, and a flexible work life balance allowing me to travel more. This is where I expect to see myself 10 years from now with the help of my education.
