My 10-year plan by Jennifer - March 2020 Scholarship Essay
I am currently a Senior in High School and ever scene I was in eighth grade I wanted to go into psychology. I will be the first generation to attend college which is a big deal in my family because we grew up poor and my parents have never had the opportunity to go to college. I am planning on keeping a straight A's and keep a good GPA for my senior year I will work very hard to be top of my class and to do everything I need to do to graduate with all A's and a good GPA. I have filled my fafsa out and applied to many scholarships, I have applied to five colleges in total but If I get accepted to the college I have in mind I will attend Northwest University and go into their psychology program, If i were not get accepted to college I will attend my community college for two years and transfer. I plan to keep good grades and a good GPA throughout my college life and I will work hard, study hard and do everything in my power and never give up in order to get my degree in psychology. My freshmen year of college will mainly focus on the classes that every freshman needs to take and as I get further into college I will focus on the general psychology programs and I am hoping my third year I will have an idea of the type of psychology I want to pursue. My senior year of college I will know what type of psychology I will be going into and I will have outstanding grades and a outstanding GPA. After four or more years of college depending on my degree path I will hope to get internships and slowly work my way into becoming a full time psychologist. I am hoping after two years of not being in college I will have a great job that I love and that I will be doing my best and being the best I can be for myself and for others. In ten years from now I will be working my job in psychology and helping those who need help and I will have three kids and a husband and we will be living in a nice calm city in a beautiful home. I will only be getting better and happier and I will work harder the older I get in order to become a psychologist and keep my job because I truly believe that becoming a psychologist is what I am set to do. The next ten years will be difficult no doubt about it but I know I will do great things because i am strong and I never give up.
