As a human race we have come a long way, our technology has advanced to suit our needs and make our lives easier. It is only fitting that technology has made its way into education and allows us to learn in a more efficient and easy way. When I started school SMART whiteboards had just begun to be instituted into the classrooms, and to some they were difficult to use. Despite this difficulty the boards allowed the teacher to visually display complex concepts that a regular whiteboard could not allow. As a visual learner this was extremely effective in helping me understand concepts that I previously struggled with.
Now we live in a time when almost all classrooms have a laptop or Ipads that students may use to easily complete homework or receive instant feedback on an exam. The new technology has taken away the painful stress of waiting to receive a test score. Essays can now easily be read with a format that can be digitally comment on and edits be suggested. It also allows those that are not as financially well off to have internet access and to type essays or research topics. I speak to the ease that technology has created in my classroom experience, schooling was not impossible before all this... but it is much easier now.
