Endless Opportunities by Jasmine - November 2020 Scholarship Essay

Not everyone is lucky to be able to go to college, and some people in other countries, especially women, have a hard time even going to school. I am so very blessed to be able to have the opportunity and freedom to major in whatever I please as well.

I am also thankful because if I do not feel that a major is for me, I can always change it and find something new to fit my passion. Education is forever evolving and finding new ways to better the educational experience for students and teachers. I also appreciate the passion many teachers have, not only to improve their overall teaching skills, but their students as well. Some teachers really take you in and teach you things you cannot learn in the classroom, and that is more appreciated than anything, because we are adults at the end of the day. I am also grateful for the broad spectrum of education offered. Everyday there is something new available to major in. Education is not something that is for everyone, but universities make it inclusive by always adding new majors and assuring there is something for everyone.

Furthermore, I could not imagine my life without an education. There are many jobs out there, but most of them do at least require a high school education or GED. So even though it may not seem like we need it, education is something we will always be able to use, and it is always good to have. Imagine if we did not have it. There are some things we should never take for granted, and one of them will always be knowledge.
