Studying abroad is always an exciting and maybe even overwhelming experience for some with their eyes set on college. Being able to study overseas or in a whole new country is an amazing privilege and an exciting opportunity. You'll be able to experience new things, see breathtaking scenery, and take part in a whole new culture that's unfamiliar to you. But doing so can also be a scary thought to some. Leaving the home you had known all your life, venturing off to an unknown place, and being all alone for the very first time can scare most people. But making such a life changing choice is all up to you and isn't something that you're required to do.

To be able to study abroad or not is never required for students that are heading to college. That choice is all up to them. You're in control of your own decisions and if studying abroad is what you want to do then you should do it. You should be able to live your life the way you want it and shouldn't be confined to do things a certain way. Live your life the way you want it and do whatever you choose is the best thing to do with your life. There are still many other colleges out there that don't require you to head abroad and traverse into a new and unknown land. Some of the best colleges can even be found right in your very own state or country. If you stay closer to home then the problems that you may encounter when you're off on your own elsewhere won't be as severe as it would be if you stayed home. You won't have to worry about learning a new language, if you plan to head to a different country, trying to find a job, trying to find a place to stay, and many more all without the aid of your parents or someone close by. Being able to make this decision can be a tough one but is never required to do. To do what you want with your life should be up to you and only you and every decision that you make originates from what you truly believe is right in life.

Choices that can severely change your life all fall upon the person making that decision. To be able to tackle the hardships of living in an unknown land, able to survive on your own, and to be able to provide for yourself are all struggles that you have to face when you go abroad for your studies. But you still have great schools all around you, all you have to do is just look and see what's available to you. Being required to do something shouldn't exist in this world and it should just be filled with choices the the person has to make based on what they truly believe. To go ahead and study abroad or not isn't something that's required but something that is laid out for you and should be a privilege if you wish to take it.
