Thankfulness for Education and Educators by Isabella - November 2020 Scholarship Essay
I've been fortunate to have multiple teachers in my life that loved what they're doing. Most of my teachers have been great role models to me and my peers. Educators set high expectations of their students and hold them to it, but not without a heavy dose of encouragement and support. Thank you to all of the teachers, counselors, and administration that have given their dedication to teaching every student in their classroom. You make a profound impact on the lives you touch.
It would have to be my music teacher, Mr. Lambert. I haven’t ever met a Music teacher as good as him. He teaches us a lot of useful music vocabulary every day, but most importantly he puts his heart into teaching us, takes time to give us feedback on our work, and supports us when we are struggling. I really appreciate that he gives up his time to teach us so that we can improve our musicality. I’m not the fastest learner, but he is extremely patient. He always pushes me to try out for different county bands. He’s even used his own money to buy materials we need to practice. He’s the best music teacher ever.
