Continuous Learning by Helen - March 2018 Scholarship Essay
Continued learning is really important, it expands your skills and your ability to adapt to the changing environment. In gym class, they tell you to run and exercise, so you can keep your body healthy. Learning is like exercising your brain, it keeps it active and healthy. There's more to learning than just math, science, and English in school.
Continuous learning leads to connection and friendship. For example, learning to play a new game during recess, may lead to new friends who also like the game. Since you share a common interest it’s easier to connect with them. These friends may help in the future when you need them.
You’re also able to access many tools once you learn how to use them. Your dad may teach you how to ride a bike. After you learned how to ride a bike it a tool you're able to use. Someday, you’ll learn how to drive a car and you’ll be able to go to far places. Also learning different languages, they become a tool for you to connect and help people all over the world.
Of course, I’m not saying school isn’t important. Learning English will allow you to read harder and harder books. Books with beautiful stories that you won’t want to stop reading. Learning math will allow you to calculate how many toys you're able to buy with your allowance. Nobody should be forcing you to learn, however, remember everyone is learning to be a better person for the future.
