Success in college means to me the opportunity to break into my industry with better ease than I would have otherwise. Success in college means that I may have the chance to show my art and my writing to the world, something that I have only ever dreamed off. Success in college means that I can make the world happy, that I can bring light into someone’s everyday life just by doing what I love.
Success in college would mean absolutely everything to me. It would mean that I went to college, did my very best everyday, and managed to graduate with my degree. It would mean that I succeeded in the next stage in my life, that I proved to myself and everyone around me that I could do it. It would mean that I have acquired the tools that I need to succeed in my field of work, in my art. It would mean that I would have a good foundation for my future, a resume that I could use to find myself work and to make myself known to the world. It would mean that I went to college, did my very best everyday, and managed to graduate with my degree. Success in college opens the next chapter of my life, a new door to me that was previously closed off, thought to be completely unobtainable. Success would show me that despite all of my doubts that I am a winner, and that I can do whatever I set my mind to.
Success to me is defined as reaching a goal, no matter how small or big that goal is. Success could be something as simple as getting dressed that day, or something as big as scoring amazingly on my AP tests, or even graduating college. Success is being able to look at something and say “I did that. I managed to do that”. Success doesn’t have to be something as big as graduating college. You have to take the little things in life as little successes, or you’ll throw yourself into a negative mindset that will be hard to get out of.
Getting this scholarship would be a success. Getting more than just this scholarship would be even greater of a success. Being able to graduate college would be a fantastic success. Making a living off of my art and being able to make people smile everyday would be the most amazing success of my lifetime.
