My Dream Job by Gabrielle - February 2019 Scholarship Essay

My dream job is being an elementary teacher. I have picked this to be my dream job ,because I have a passion to be around kids ,and to help them further their education.I believe kids need someone to look up to ,because some kids don't have anybody at home that can be a mentor to them. I know that when I was a child I used to look up to the teachers, especially when I was going through something hard at home, and I felt like I couldn't tell or talk to my parents.
I work for the boys and girls club,and working there was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I have been able to see how to set up a classroom ,and how to set up a lesson plan. At the boys and girls club we are required to have a month worthy of lesson plans at the beginning of the month.
When I attend the University of the Cumberlands I hope to keep the lessons I have learned from the boys and girls club ,and I plan to take I what have learned and expand my knowledge. I'm excited about going to the Cumberlands ,because they put you in a classroom as soon as possible. Elementary education at the University of the Cumberlands is in the top five of thier majors there. Which means they have a very good program , and mean I would be getting a great education.
