My senior yearbook quote would be “You have to live and learn and make mistakes to be a man”, this quote is from a hip- hop artist that goes by Future. In this song lyric, Future expresses that you must feel what it is like to mess up and come from nothing in order to appreciate all the good things that life has to offer. If you do not know what the struggle is like and what it means to fight for everything you obtain today, then you will take for granted any blessings that may come your way. Gaining the respect many desires as a provider for one’s family does not come easily or wrapped and bowed, it is something that you must earn and work hard to keep once it is maintained. No one is going to give you any handouts, you must make a way for yourself if you want to leave a life of comfort and peace.
What this quote says about me is, I am willing to under go what needs to be endured to make sure that my family is secure and do not need to rely on anyone to survive. Many people are selfish thinking only of themselves when making decisions that effect their loved ones and the people that surround them. Every mistake is not meant to be lingered upon, giving you the feeling of worthlessness but meant to be used a lesson you learn from… there is no shame in soaking in new information you were once oblivious to especially if it contributes to your self-betterment. Always be willing to learn new things and do not strive to be an arrogant all knowing person because, at the end of the day you need other people to be successful rather you know it or not.
