Curiosity, Appreciation, Dedication by Elizabeth - July 2019 Scholarship Essay

Passion is an emotion that few can control. When it enters your life, you are overcome by a sense of curiosity, dedication, and appreciation. The education that I have been fortunate enough to experience has shown me this emotion. My Health Science class brought out the best in me, giving me a drive to do better. Now, thanks to that educational class, I have found my passion.
Once you know you have a passion for education you start to feel more and more curious. What else can I learn? What career do I want to pursue? How can I do better? In Health Science class we cover different medical careers as well as how to manage all the stress and pressure of being a dedicated passionate student.
Having a passion for education means appreciating the education you are receiving, rather than turning your back on this gift. I personally appreciate my school and the facility we have as well as having outstanding teachers with their own passion to help us all succeed. I am so thankful to have these teachers because each and every one of them pushes me towards my greatest potential.
When you are passionate you are driven to work hard and achieve your goals. A bump in the road might slow you down but it does not stop you. Often there are roadblocks. A bad day, a bad grade or a stress filled week. When all of these things happen to me, I refocus myself and picture my goals. I want to go to college, I want to get my degree in Physical Therapy, and I want to show my passion for learning and persevere.
My passion for learning has grown over the years, but this past year has really tested my commitment to my classes. Junior year was hard. But, after it all. I am still curious, committed, thankful and passionate about my education and my future.
