The argument of nature versus nurture. This argument almost completely surrounds us. Our nature gives us drive to reach our goals, these goals are typically what we think we need to do to survive our world. Nurture teaches what we think is the best way to survive in this world. The most common way that most people are taught will keep us successful enough to survive is to go to college and get a good job. For others maybe there isn’t that drive of just to survive, some want to learn how they can make a difference in our world. College has many reasons behind it that begins from when we are born.
The nature of college is success, though success looks different for everyone. College is held as one of the signs of success. We as a species need to have success and purpose. College helps bring us closer to that success by giving us a chance to earn that knowledge we need for life. My desire for college is split into two parts, since being born I’ve wanted to make a career, do something that can somehow help others.
The nurture contribution towards going to college is part of support from where we grow up. My parents didn’t go to college because I was born while they were in high school. They always wanted to push me to do what they didn’t. They always made sure I had what I needed for school and have tried to help me with classes the best they could. Very quickly I started trying to get as ahead in school as I could, this way I could spend more time getting ready for college and even starting college classes.
I want to go into school to be successful and help people but also because my parents have pushed for me to be prepared for this. I want to go to school to go to school to go into criminal psychology or go into law if that doesn’t work for me. I always try to be prepared for whatever happens and have options and be ahead if I can.
