My Senior Yearbook Quote by Devon - November 2018 Scholarship Essay

My senior yearbook quote might very well be "I worked hard but I had fun!" I would say this because it has been hard work getting where I am at. I have continually challenged myself with my workload and class level. In addition I have participated in JR ROTC, Marching Band, and multiple sports. The hard work was not always fun! But while it has been hard work I have had a lot of fun along the way. The friends I have made and the fun times we have had are a big part of why I have been able to make it through the challenges presented by the classes and life in general.
I think what this quote says about me is that I have found a balance in my life between the work I need to do and yet still enjoying life. I see this as an important skill as I look at college and beyond. I see many kids that are so focused on the work that they forget to enjoy themselves and as a result, they get very stressed. Life should be about hard work because when things come to easy they are not appreciated. But life should also include time to enjoy yourself. My senior quote will show this about me!
