How Studying Abroad Will Help ,My College Education by Danielle - November 2017 Scholarship Essay

If I could study abroad this would positively impact my college education because I would not only be able to learn about the county's culture, and be able to grow as a person.

I feel that studying abroad would open up my mind to new ideas about how certain things in a different country work. I would learn more about the country's history and be part of the country's culture and be able to learn about their holidays, how they celebrate certain holidays differently than I would. I feel this would open me up to be more open-minded about the people so when I’m in college and meet someone from a different culture I would understand how they feel about being in a new place. I also feel that this would allow me to connect with my fellow students who went to the same country or even a different country.

I would like to study in Israel because they have a terrorist program about how to stop terrorist attacks and about different forms of terrorism. This would help me because I want to go into a career with Criminal Justice and learning about different forms of terrorism will help me in my career choice. This will also allow me to be more independent by allowing me to manage my money, having to cook and look after myself and I would be able to take a leadership role.
