Every morning my chemistry teacher would have a quote on the board. We had to copy it down and write about what it meant to us. They were always very inspirational. After we were all done, we would all talk about what the quote represented to us and what hidden message it was trying to convey. It may seem odd to be analyzing a quote in a chemistry class, but the lesson she was teaching had more to do with our everyday outlook on life.
This simple, daily lesson, went a far way in her students lives’. She provoked our mind with inspiration on how to become better people, how to think in a positive manner, and how to effectively communicate that inspiration with others. One of the greatest ones was “Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.” It really stuck with me because it reminds me that I am capable of anything and everything; regardless of what obstacle is in my way.
I believe that more teachers should do this with their students, it really turns their day around, and someday their whole life around.
