Goals are the meaning to "Success" by Claudia - August 2022 Scholarship Essay

This upcoming year I will be a college Junior entering the nursing program. Entering this academic year, one goal I want to strive for is to stay focused and pass my classes. Furthermore, I want to strive for “success”.
In the past semesters, I have failed, and have had self-doubt in questioning my success. I lacked self-discipline, had poor grades, and had no self-confidence. Striving for “success” has many meanings, it’s easier said than done. This upcoming year, I have found meaning in “success”, do what makes you happy. After changing my major from computer science to nursing, I was more pleased and open to a new door of opportunity. I pushed toward nursing, and my goals have reassured me of who I am and what I plan to strive for. In terms of being successful, I still have a long journey ahead to learn new things and enjoy a new path.
I have learned from my past semesters, and as I advance ahead I will continue to learn more. As long as I am happy, and strive for hard work my goals of staying focused and passing my classes will in turn fall naturally. In other words, it will shape my journey and shape the meaning of “success”.
