Never Give up by Carlos - November 2018 Scholarship Essay

If I had a senior quote it would be “No matter how hard it seems, never give up.”. I say this because I have this philosophy about not giving up even if the situation is stressful. It has gotten me through my college career so far and anyone would know how stressful classes can be. I am a person who never gives up the fight until the fight is over. For as long as I put effort into it, that is all that matters to me.
Why and how do I have this attitude? Well it is quite simple, I believe that the good moments in life are good because of a lack in adversity. If I didn’t face any adversity, then life would be boring and arguably worse off. Stress in low doses can be a motivator for some people and it drives them to do their best. I stay vigilant because of the expectations my mother puts on me. Getting high grades and applying for scholarships is hard work but I know that in the end it will pay off. I will live to see those moments of relaxation and that is another motivator for me!
My friends and family are also another reason why I work hard. I do not want to disappoint them, I want to prove to them that I can achieve great things and not the slacker they think I am. I do have a passion for my career and I will do whatever it takes to live my dreams!
