The Inspiration of Family by Brynn - October 2019 Scholarship Essay

The most influential and inspiring people, academically and in every way imaginable, are my parents and brothers. My father happens to be my high school principal and my mother is a kindergarten teacher in the elementary school. From a very young age, I was taught to give forth my best effort in all things and to strive for excellence. Having both parents as employees at a minuscule school does not give one a lot of opportunity to do anything less than your best, gratefully so.

I happen to be the youngest of three children, allowing me to follow their examples and live up to the expectations of my two older brothers, who are now seeking higher education in pursuit of challenging and beneficial careers. Their examples have also inspired me to be the finest student and person possible. I strive to reach my personal goals every day, while also aspiring to live up to my families expectations for my life and future endeavors.

My biggest goals in life are to pursue the things I love, complete tasks set before me to the best of my ability, and to ultimately make myself proud as well as those who love and want the best for me. Right now, as a sophomore in high school, I plan on pursuing a career in neonatal nursing. My family supports my dreams and encourages me to do everything in my power to ensure that I obtain the goals that are accompanied along with that career path.
