A Straight A Semester by Autumn - December 2020 Scholarship Essay
In 2021, I feel like I will be able to start with a clean slate. Leaving semester one's classes behind, I'll be ready for the next, and last, set of classes coming at me. Hopefully with this, I can achieve a straight A semester.
I've gotten close some semesters, and I've always made the A honor roll, but math has always been my weakest subject. I've been taking a math applications course to apply math to real life, and it's gone really well for me so far. The coronavirus ended my second semester of junior year halfway through, so I couldn't achieve the grades I hoped for. There's always been either an unavoidable event (COVID-19) or a personal obstacle I couldn't overcome. Sometimes, it was just so overwhelming that I didn't strive for my best. It could get difficult.
But this semester will be different. I only have four classes at my school, the rest are online for college or my internship. It will still be a workload, but it'll be one last boost to my GPA. I've made it through almost four years of hard work and staying busy, and seeing all As on my last report card will be such a satisfying, gratifying, and relieving experience. I can't wait to take it on.
