A Working Progress by Anne-Marie - December 2015 Scholarship Essay
If I'm still living with my parents in ten years, things have gone terribly wrong. Currently, I'm a senior in high school who still watches trash TV and spends way to much time in front of a computer screen. In the next ten years I hope I have found my footing in this world and hopefully have finished medical school and am about to start my residency as a doctor.
Ever since I can remember I've known I wanted to be a doctor. There's nothing more exciting to me than the idea of saving lives on a daily basis and being apart of a world that makes a difference. Having a stellar education is crucial with my career choice. There's a reason it takes doctors such an extensive amount of time to finish school. Nobody wants to have a doctor perform major surgery on them if they're coming straight out of high school. It takes will and dedication to become a physician and those are all qualities I'm confident I possess. In ten years I need to learn everything I can to become an exceptional physician and base my life on helping others and the only way I can get there is by going to college.
