College is an experience almost every teenager waits for their entire high school career. They look forward to their senior year, because they know that college will be their next adventure. College is an experience unlike any other. Tom Hanks once said, “While I was in college I was exposed to this world that I didn’t know was possible.” We can all imagine this world that Tom Hanks is talking about. This world will be filled with new friends, new adventures, new learning opportunities and many more fun-filled activities that you can’t find anywhere else.
Although I am excited for all these new experiences, I am most excited for the friendship college will bring. Friendship is very valuable to me. I am a very outgoing person and I love to make new friends. America is known as the world’s mixing pot, but college is your own little mixing pot of people who have similar interests and passions along with completely different interests and passions. I cannot wait to be apart of this. I am definitely looking forward to making new friends that I wouldn’t usually have been friends with in high school. I can’t wait to go on new adventures with my new friends and continue to develop each friendship I make.
College is definitely a world unlike any other. Tom Hanks speaks to that in his quote. College is an experience I am looking forward to and will be forever grateful for. I will cherish the friendships I make in college for the rest of my life. I cannot wait to be exposed to different people who share interests and passions with me. College is truly an experience that is incomparable to anything else you will experience in your life, and I am truly thankful that I will get the college experience.
